Blaupunkt Radio Installation
Today, I installed a Blaupunkt RNS-149 GPS stereo in my '99 Hardtop. Everything went well, except that I couldn't find a lead for backup sensing. Also, I'm not sure that I got the right lead for speed sensing. For speed, I used the dark green wire with the white stripe.
I also ended up using the accessory harness in the passenger footwell for switched power. That power source works well, except that the radio switches off for the exact moment that I engage the starter.
Does anyone have any suggestions for any of my issues in general, or has anyone used this exact head unit?
