Re: Is the corsa X-pipe worth while doing? (mdhmi)
why would it make a differance a4 or m6 ? just ordered a magnaflow x-pipe, from west coast corvette. they say mangaflow is a true crossover x-pipe.......will be using it with GHL's. 2000 coupe a4..........
Re: Is the corsa X-pipe worth while doing? (00BlkFRC)
well a buddy of mine and I put on the corsa pipe today and I'm getting an annoying humm almost vibration right at 1400rpm that wasn't there before. what is causing this and what can I do about it? will changing out the rear sec fix this prob??
Re: Is the corsa X-pipe worth while doing? (00BlkFRC)
These exhaust systems are a real pain to get right! I first installed the Z06 exhaust with the stock H pipe, and loved the quality and lack of resonance, but it was just too quiet. Next, I bought a GHL bullet exhaust and loved the new volume level, but couldn't deal with the popping. A Corsa X pipe cured that by about 50%, but also increased the cruise resonance. It's pretty annoying in the 1800-2000 area for me.
I'm not sure what my next move will be, the GHLs are growing on me, so I'm not sure I could go back to the quiet Z06. I can tell you this: If I put the Z06 back on, I'll also reinstall the stock H pipe. The X takes the edge off the sound, and the Ti doesn't need that.
