New 04 coupe, lock not working on passenger side, checked fuses,OK. Can hear relay click, but not the lock, RH switch works "opens" drivers side so I know switch is working, like I said I can hear click of relay. How hard is it to pull inside door off ? Anybody else had this problem ? Could it be the lock or did someone just forget to connect wires on lock at Bowling Green ? Hate to let a dealer touch it. No offense to dealers, just sometimes they F**k things up worst. Email me if you had of have seen this problem. Or know how to fix . Thanks.>George
Re: RH Door lock on 2004 not locking ? Help (lt1george)
I have the exact issue with my 2000. Luckily for you, you've got a warranty...I bought mine used and I'm stuck with the problem. From what I've read the culprit is the module inside the door panel that will get replaced under warranty.
I thought the same thing about something being unplugged and took off the door panel (easy btw), but there was nothing amiss.
I also hear the module click when pressing the lock button but the actuator near the door handle does not move. I am not sure if it is the module that is bad or if it is the actuator...if you take yours in to the dealer I'd appreciate a note of what part was faulty and what they did to fix it.
Re: RH Door lock on 2004 not locking ? Help (lt1george)
Most likely it is the door control module. This is a common problem, maybe not on a new car. It is no big deal for the dealer to remove the door panel and check. Since it is a new car I would let the dealer handle it. In case it is something else. Are there any codes set on the DIC? If not then it could be something as simple as the connection to the lock module out of the DCM.

THANKS for everyones help and response. This morning I wacked the inside of door panel three times real hard with my fist by the locking latch where it meets the body striker. And woke up the lock. Works perfect now. Thanks again, you Corvette owners are GREAT. Save the Wave.>George
