I am attempting to install RM Racing's Twin Air Intake on my 2002 Convertible. The electrical connection to the Mass Air flow sensor has me stumped. What is the trick to remove this? I appreciate any help.
Also are there any concerns that I should consider when using this air intake system?
An "oldie" but a goodie so I am resurfacing. I struggled to figure out how to unclip the connector when I went to clean my MAF. After the fact, I found this post.
I was experiencing some uneven acceleration over the course of the last year or so, although my car started and ran just fine in the lower rpm range and it was not throwing any codes. I'd replaced the plugs and wires a couple of years ago and was thinking perhaps I had a bad plug, plug wire or coil pack. However, after doing some research, it seemed prudent to rule out a dirty MAF. As luck would have it; cleaning the MAF did the trick and I now I am wishing I had attended to this sooner.
If, like me, you never cleaned your MAF (or it has been a while since you've cleaned it); you might wish to take a few minutes to tend to it. Some folks recommend it be cleaned with every oil change or with every air filter change. From now on, I am going to make it an annual ritual.

I'm going to chime in and ask what is the best way to clean the MAF. Going over a 98 with 140K miles on it that has been having some stumbling idle issues. I don't think the MAF has ever been touched. Thanks.
