3:42 or 3:73 ???
Want to have the best of both words. Want better 1/4 times and still want to do the road ralleys with the local Corvette club.
I don't have access to different cars to drive.
Which gears would be better?
Thanks for the help. :flag

I'm assuming you have an auto, in which case it's 3.73 without a doubt.
A stick would need at least 3.90, or better, 4.10

Automatics come stock 2.73's, optional 3.15's
6 spd come stock w/3.42's..I would go 3.90's or 4.10's

3.73 for an A4 wish you could ride in one it is not a big deal I have five factory cars and 3 of them turn about the same RPM's as my 3.73 corvette.
Good Luck do not forget to do a TC while in there.

Uhhhh..he has a 6 speed. I dont think he needs a torque converter. Depending on your mods, I would probably go with the 4:10's unless you are planning on a supercharger.

Uhhhh, I think he was asking what TC meant. And yes of course if he has a 6 speed he does not need one.
