Has anyone experienced problems with one of the transmission lines contacting their aftermarket headers? I have a set of TPiS full-length headers and one of the lines is touching near the bend in the collector. It didn't appear to be a problem but I recently experienced slippage between 3rd & 4th gear and the transmission temperature showing 'HOT' on the DIC. I've checked the fluid and it may be low, but haven't had a chance to get to a supply house and get more fluid to try and fill it to a trickle. The fluid looks nice and red with no smell or signs of metallic residue. Let me qualify, I used a hex key for a dipstick. So of course I can't see the inside of the pan.
Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations?
Thanks, Guys!

Simple, bend that line away from the header. To check tranny fluid, the engine must be running, run shifter through gears and put in Park. Fluid at around 120*, not colder or hotter. Car must be level. Fill until fluid it drips out of the pan fill hole.
Your tranny temps should not exceed 226* on a hot day. Better to keep them below 200*. If you are overtemp (260*) the tranny could be toast. What fluid are you running?
Re: Transmission lines hitting the headers… (BHP)
BHP,
The fluid is whatever they put in at the dealership when they swapped the torque converter. I'm assuming it's the factory stuff. It was very odd, the tranny had never slipped or gotten hot before. But on this trip out it just took off. I checked the fluid per the directions, just like you outlined and it doesn't trickle out so I was planning on filling it this evening to see how much it would hold before trickling.
Thanks Much!
