2000 Driver seat Going Nuts???
The driver seat on my 2000 coupe has a mind of it's own. On occassion the seat(as a rigid unit/seat and back rest)will tilt rearward. Iv'e actually measured the extra distance it moves: the top of the seat moves to the rear 4'' and the top of the seat just under the steering wheel move up about 1-3/4". This extra rearward tilt movement is beyond the normal maximum range of seat movement that can be obtained with the electric seat adjuster. The car does have an easy entry feature and the seat does not move this far when easy entry is "ON". It does this while driving, while not moving car running, and after turning off the car pulling the key and shuuting the door. After it happens I must use the seat tilt/hieght adjust lever to get the seat back into position. The first time it happened while driving I almost panicked. The memory light(#1) blinks when this happens. Since I am 6'-3" the clutch and brake are still in reach. However, other people drive also and don't want their feet to not reach the peddles. Any pointers would be appreciated.

The wires that go to the seat adjuster assembly are probably pinched and are shorting out. I would take a look at the seat wiring harness that plugs into that switch and see if you can see any damaged or bare wires. You could also have a bad adjuster switch that is making contact on its own.
