Velocity Stack...Does it Work?
I would've dug through the archives but i'm having a few problems since the format change....
What is the consensus w/ Vararam's Velocity stack? Does it actually work? What have been your experiences w/ this product?

I had one for a while. It didn't seem to do much for me. I took it out and ported & polished my throttle body. I did the outside too. Now it looks like chrome. 
I felt a crisper throttle response with my p&p tb, not the Velocity Stack. MY friend has one and feels it helps a little. I'm going to put my tb on his car for a weekend and see if he ports his on monday. 
There have been some that have reported gains, but I think on a vette you won't feel any sotp improvement.

I put one on mine. I thought since it was made by vararam, it was most probably legit. The claimed Hp gain isnt huge so I didnt expect to feel anything. I didnt want to take the time to port & polish and figured the results would be more or less equal. When I received the part I was dissapponted in the quality for the price. It is basically a vacume formed plastic part. I think the price is high, but I guess they wanted to get their R&D costs back. I got mine thru JEGs and at least saved shipping and tax but they charge a handleing fee so its like buying retail anyway. If I had it to do again I would port and polish and use the money for something else.
