I had an 02 LS6 in the shop this week!
We installed the LG Motorports Headers and Random Cats.
Ported Throttle Body and Dyno Tune on our Land and Sea Dyno!
Customer already had a Black Wing, Corsa Mufflers and Air Duct!
Interesting Results but very impressive!
Baseline 370HP STD Correction (Pig Rich at 5000 rpm -up 7:1!
Installed Headers 391 HP (Still Pig Rich) 8:1 21 HP Gain!
Installed Ported T-Body 400 HP 9:1 9 HP Gain!
Ls1 Edit Tuning Final # 430 HP! 13.3:1 A/F, 26 degrees total timing.
I didn't beleive it - took the car out it definetly felt like the 430HP!
I put my personal car on my dyno just to make sure the numbers were right!
My hats off to LG Motorsports great product! To others , make sure
you do programming to get rid of torque management and get the air/fuel
right and the hardware (headers ) will come alive!
The dyno was checked for calibration and I ran
my car 98 c5 to see if the numbers which are always between 399-403 were the same! SAE number I will check tomorrow Usually 7-9 Lower than STD.
I have dynoed a lot of C5's I thought my dyno was freaking out!
Thats why I checked everything. I have a truck 01 GMC that dynoes at 265
268 It was right there! What kind of numbers have others got
with LG Long Tubes and similar mods! I usually see 345 -355 on a stock

60 hp gain with headers and tune = . Sorry, I just don't believe it. 420 crank HP I would believe. What did that car run at the track? It would have to be over 120 MPH in the 1/4 ..

I don't think it is, I have LG headers and cam on my car and mine dyno'd @ 430.9 - And it us up there as one of the most powerful CAM cars with a stock intake(not a FAST) so I don't believe this claim for one second

I suprised Lou has yet to chime in on this thread. Afterall, 430 rwhp from essentially headers + tune would certainly validate his claim of having the "worlds most powerful headers." Come on now, no comments?

Calm down guys,
I have never see over 395 rwhp on a Z06 with only our headers. We do see that quite offen with a Z06 and some kind of air filter.
The biggest numbers with a G5X-3 cam only and stock intake manifold and our LG Pro Long Tube headers, are from right up there in New Jersey and they are 431 rwhp installed at East Coast Super Chargers.
I have never met the person who started this thread, we just sold the headers and that is it.
So lighten up until the car owner gets to go to an independent dyno like I always do when we hit a high peak number. In fact LG Motorsports is the only tuner that has regularly gone to independent dynos to varify numbers. Numbers that by the way are matched around the country by other installers and Corvette owners.
Have a nice day and hopefully Gooseman will get to another dyno soon.
thanks

PS, LG Pro Long Tube headers: The most powerful C5 headers on the planet

I am also running a G5X3 cam and LGM headers and my car dynoed at 426. I'm also still running the stock intake.
I don't see how just adding LGM headers could get you to this number.
There is nothing wrong with my dyno. The 430 number was a standard correction
factor. This is what I utilize in my shop along with many other water brake type dyno's. The Sae Number was 411. Still the before and after was a 60 HP Gain.
I have 20 years of engine management engineering! I train Automotive Techs
through out the country. The reason for my post was that I was quite impressed with the gains, and for fellow vette owners to not forget programming with the LG Headers
I can fix big throttle body programming too! I have several customers with
big t-bodies with 0 problems. I did the testing for TPIS and debugged!
Food for thought- A true load dyno that takes in the vehicle weight, aerodynamic
efficiency, engine displacement and many other factors will provide the correct load
and you will be able to tune better than a intertia dyno. Ever wonder why Turbo's
dont hit max boost on a dynojet??
