Stock exhaust??

Stock exhaust??
Everywhere I look I seem to notice a little upgrade on my 97 coupe I just bought a month ago. This weekend while doing an oil change I noticed that it had a crossover pipe. Is this stock or is this something that was added?

If it is at 90 degrees it is, probably, stock.

The stock exhaust had an "H" pipe instaled in the intermidate pipe. An improvement would be to install an "X" pipe.
The H pipe only has a hole about the size of a quarter that allows the gasses to flow between each pipe.
The small holes in the H pipe even cause and exhaust noise that sounds like a jingle
If you wand a good sounding exhaust that is stock, consider the ZO6 Ti exhaust system.

Thanks for the info! My exhaust is very quiet until I hit just under 3K with a load on the engine. No pops when I slow down either. If I wasn't afraid of attracting unwanted attention I'd like to make it deeper and louder. I'll do that in 4 more years when I turn 25 and have cheaper insurance. 
As of now it has a nice lightly throaty, yet quiet sound to it.
