Default Battery Fault Code #1&2

Hi:
I just checked for DIC Codes on my '00 FRC. There are four: AO2282 2284 A12283 2285. These are listed as Right & Left Door Control Module Battery Fault #1 & #2. I checked the archives and found that there are a number of possibilities for these codes being thrown, most having to do with charging systems faults. I'm wondering if having a battery go dead over the winter would cause these codes to be thrown.

If there is a "C" behind each code I would investigate further. If it is an "H" I would clear and see if they come back.

The actual code should start with the letter B P C or U followed by 4 numbers and an H or HC

For instance B2282H means that this code is in history and not a current problem. B2282HC means it is in history but also a current problem.

All codes of this type will be set if the battery voltage has gone below 8.5 volts or over 16.3.

Let me know if you have any codes that have the C at the end and I will give you more details.

If you have a margional battery, your battery volts may be dropping too low when you start your car which inturn would or could cause these codes to set. The car will start but you will peg the voltage low as the current draw is high when the starter first starts to turn over the engine.

Have your battery checked out at a good shop. Autozone, Pepboys and Advance will do it for free!
