someone was telling me I could get more sound out of my factory exhaust by removing the baffles how or what do I do to do this. I don't have the money for a new system right now and if I could get some more sound out of it for free that would be awsome.

I remember one member here posting pictures of that mod a couple of years ago. It wasn't purdy. He cut the mufflers open and hacked most, but not all, of the baffles out. He left a bit in to keep resonance down. Then he had to weld them back together.
You might want to see if you can find some one local who has the A&A exhaust mod done to their car and give a listen. Quite a few members have opted for this mod until they were able to afford a full aftermarket exhaust. It is essentially a muffler bypass tube that's welded into the inlet and exhaust pipes in each muffler. $80 + install at an exhaust shop should total about $100.
I did it, and have never looked back. The write up is on my website with pictures. It actually sounds good and has 0 resonance. Theres videos on my site. The videos I posted earlier this week are with them installed.
HurricaneZ, great write-up on the exhaust mod. I have considered doing something like that but you are the first I have seen to actually do it. It sounds OK, huh? On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being a Cadillac, 4 being a stock C5, and 10 being open headers) how loud is it?
I was actually considering an electrically operated damper in that by-pass pipe so I could select quiet when necessary. However, if the A&A way is not too loud, it may not be necessary.

It sounds good as in the way it sounds, it sounds like a v8 and not a ricer (some might think this) I would say it sounds like most aftermarket exhaust setups I've seen. There is 0 resonance, its never loud in the cabin, I've been told its louder than a Z06 setup.
