Default 2004 Squeaky Breaks..... HELP!!

I have 3000 miles on the new baby and my brakes squeak louder than anything on the street including my girlfriends 10 year old Geo. When the brakes are warm and dry the brakes squeak loud at slow speed when applied. The dealer has put the "anti-brake squeak" compound on them. It help about 40%, but still sounds poor for a 50,000 sports car. Any suggstions????

I switched to ceramic pads last weekend and no more squeal. Got pads from Fichtner Chevrolet, $90 for both F & R. No more black dust.

Also make sure when you do this you never come to a complete stop. Around 60 to 5 MPH works good.

Try to brake hard enough to just be under the ABS activtion threshold.

Same problem with my dealer. I gave up and just bought the ceramic pads through Fichtner Chev. and had them installed at the local Autotire. Mechanic said OE pads had alot of buildup for in 1 mo & 1500 mi. I saved them to take in to complain at my next service appointment.

I haven't had a single problem. I squeak the 1st time I'm on the move after a wash or parked in the rain. After that it's all good.

But what I would suggest, is some long tube headers w/ no cats and SLP Loudmouth exhaust. This will certainly drown out any OTHER sound coming from your car.
