Default lowering questions

I had my coupe lowered and by luck I am changing my wheels and noticed that the 2 nuts (both sides) are missing from the bolt that they lossened up in the front only. I ordered 2 new nuts and 2 new "C" retainers. My question is where does the retainer go? Does it go on the 1st thread or is there a grove for it above the threads? Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no nuts on the front bolts used to lower the car.

The 'nut' is molded into the leaf spring.

There is a nut that almost looks like a cap that just sits on the first coupe of threads on the top of the stud. It doesn't seem to have any function after the car is lowered - maybe it is intended as a locking or safety nut when the car is higher. It sounds like most folks don't bother leaving them on or putting them back.

He said FRONT as we have said above there is NO NUT on the front of a C5. Only nuts are on the rear.
