LT headers with best low end torque?
Not to start another header war but I'm curious as to everyone's input on which header system "they believe" has the best low end torque (i.e. for us street guys). My car is a daily driver and I don't take it to the track so HP at 6K+ rpm isn't necessarily my goal.
Your input is appreciated.
I have TPIS long tube coated headers. I do like them very much and the my car has great torque from 3800 to 5800, almost a flat torque curve of 370 to 425 tq in this rpm range. and has good torque from 2000 to 3800.
I think the torque an hp is mostly depended on a great LS1 edit WITH dyno tune over any bolt ons. However, when one has the bolt ons AND the LS1 edit & dyno tune that is when the numbers will really shine.
The other thing I like about the cearmic coated headers is that they do take a lot of the heat away from the engine and tunnel between the seats. So the foot wells do not get as hot as stock or non coated headers. I think this is a big plus for a daily driver.
