I have a Z06 Intake Manifold with a loose brass vacuum fitting right behind the TB. I have the manifold off and stripped. There is a small crack on the interior of it just in front of the brass fitting. What is the right stuff to use to patch or repair it? I want to tighten up the fitting from the inside. Would plain old ABS glue work?

If it were me I would leaning more towards epoxy. Just be sure to really clean the area first. Maybe rough it up first with with a little sandpaper. HTH

JB Weld.......Great Stuff......Make sure the piece to be repaired is clean, and give the JB Weld 24 hours to harden. It's helped me out more than once.
Does anyone know what GM recommends? There must be a recommended material that is fully compatable with the original plastic. I doubt that JB Weld is chemically compatable. I'd like to use the right chemical composition to get a lasting repair.
A friend of mine has a plastic welder and often uses plain old ABS pipe as a welding material. He recently "welded" my grill back together on my GMC Motorhome. I have a feeling that basically our C5 intakes are actually a network of sewer pipes. Does anybody know what they are made out of for sure?
