Towing a C5
I met a guy over the weekend who said he'd been in the towing business a long time and claimed the C5 didn't have a towing point that could be used without some sort of damage to the vehicle. Is this true?

In the Helm's Service Manual there are instructions for installing tow hooks, but I wouldn't mess with that. First off the car is soo low to the ground that you run a good risk of dragging the bottom of the car while towing it, and secondly, it's all too common that someone forgets to take the tranny out of gear before towing and ends up blowing the engine. It's just soo much easier to flatbed it.
