Default Header cracks

I have been doing my research on headers and the issue of cracking seems to appear again and again. Is there a header on the market that can stand up to 10K miles a year of daily driving for several years?

Thanks!

Pete

Hey Pete,

Just to let you know, if you see mention of the LGs cracking at the AIR connections, that problem was fixed some time back. They added extra supports (a small plate welded to the AIR connector and the Header) to remove the flexibility of the small pipe that the AIR connector flange is mounted to.

You shouldn't see any cracking on the LGs anytime in the near future, unless you take a crowbar to them!

Cheers.

P.S. I got LGs and I love them, the HP and TQ gains are awesome.

You can kinda see the small plate in this pic:

Let me first say that I am quite happy with the LGM headers.

But, the air tube broke off within two days, and that was only three month ago. I wonder how long ago the problem with the air tube was fixed.

I had it welded, and LG promised to send a replacement. My mechanic had the headers installed in no time (it took much longer to properly align the cats and center pipes and bolt it all together neatly), so I am not too worried about swapping the welded header against the new replacement.
