Can you please give some more details on how this affects the temperature of the motor. I drive my car in the winter so exactly how would this affect the temp? Does the TPIS TB have this provision?

Thanks!

So if I sent it to you on a Friday at 10am you can have it back to me by Saturday at 5pm? Next month I plan to drive to Futral Motorsports to have Allan install my 408ci. I am going to drive my FRC up there, but I cant drive w/out a TB. The motor will be swapped while I am there and also tuned with the FAST 90mm, but I have to have a TB that works with the FAST 90mm b4 Allan can tune. UNLESS, your TB will work with the stock LS1 while I drive to Louisiana?

The completed unit is $599 and we also transfer/re-index your original electronics and stepper motor to the new throttle body for you, so when you receive the completed unit, it's ready to bolt on your intake manifold.

Can you tell me how and why the re-design is easier to tune? I had the TPIS 90mm TB and it was a disaster tunign it. Took it off and put my stock stuff back on. If I am going to sepnd the money I want to know what has changed.

Do you have any pics of this unit?
Is it made from scratch or a unit that has been bored out?

billy2kfrc-
This throttle body has nothing to do with engine temperature... The O.E. engine coolant passages are designed to allow warming engine coolant to pass through the bottom of the throttle body main body to prevent throttle blade icing in very cold weather and a phone call to TPIS could answer your second question, as we are uncertain of the correct answer.

vince99frc-
That is correct, but the shipping charges for a FedEx Next-Day, Saturday delivery are VERY expensive, FYI. This throttle body will NOT bolt up to a stock LS1/LS6 intake manifold.

Z06ufgrad-
Yes we do but they are not on the internet as of yet, so we can't post them. Email us if you want photos now before we get them added to our website. This unit is a completely new design and it really is too nice to even put on an engine!

buckmaster-
The build differences I can directly see is that the throttle blade fits tightly in its bore around its ENTIRE circumference when closed and the leading edges of the throttle blade are machined at the correct angle to facilitate easy entry/exit of the blade throughout its arc without sticking on the bore walls, especially when hot.

BTW- Current O.E. and aftermarket throttle body couplers and air induction kits will fit over the mouth of this unit as well.

Best Regards,
DTE

How many of these do you have in stock? The coupler thing confuses me If they fit this unit that would suggest that the opening is smaller but the inside bore is larger. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a 90mm TB? Smaller coupler would mean less air yet the inside of the TB is larger? I'm a bit confused by this.

I'm not sure what you mean, but here's what I believe your interested in.
The opening to the TB is about 101mm, same as stock. The inside is 90mm.

I agree, but I believe Nick prefers to distribute to the Vendors and not "deal" with us on an individual basis.

I am thinking about picking up one of the Nick Williams 90mm TB's and a 90mm FAST intake this weekend from a local vendor. How can I tell if the one he has to sell me is the latest revision of the design? What are the tells? I want to make sure I get the most up to date version so that there are no problems with the tune / idle, etc.

Thanks,
