Yea, I think the Kumho MX's only go up to 285 at the rear on the C5 size wheels. However, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Inquiry minds (mine) want to know.
You can put 295/35/18 on the stock rear wheel. I've done it before. It bulges a little bit but it's not bad at all. 275s are almost too narrow - 285s are perfect - and 295s bulge slightly.
Of course, it depends on the brand too. I have Kumho 295s on my 18x11s and they are too small. It needs a 315 or so.
What about the pressure sensors? Am I going to have to reset those? What kind of mileage are yall seeing out of these tires? How's the traction? Should I go with a 285 or 295? Do you think the extra traction provided by the bigger sizes would offset the extra price? Sorry for all the questions but it's almost time for new tires (belts are starting to show).
Leave the tire sensors alone. Just make sure the tire changer knows about them. Keep the wheels on the same corner of the car. Kumho MX has great dry traction. Never tried them in the wet. Mileage will vary on your driving. Anywhere from 4000 to 15000 miles from what I have heard. There is no 285 in Kumho MX. I went with the 275/40/17 front and 295/35/18 back with wider rims. Not that much difference in traction, then stock sizes. Surprised me.
