I have a 10amp draw on my battery all the time. After a three day trip in June the battery was drawm down so far the engine wouldn't start. I have a new Optima so why would it have drawn down so low? I had installed a Viper alarm just a few weeks prior so I though that may be the problem. I took it back to the shop and they traced the draw down to the Traction Module. However none knows where it is located in the car. does anyone know and has anyone had this problem?
If yours is an early '98, it may be located on near the rear differential - you can see it by getting under the car, and looking up past the swaybar from the rear.
Or, if it's a later car, I believe the TCS lives on a bracket attached near the the steering rack on the driver's side of the car. Don't quote me on that one though - I've got an early car with the rear mounted (and $$$) TCS computer.
