Default Kooks vs SuperMax ( for street use only )

I have a 98 vert with a fresh 2001 engine with mild cam & head work, LS6 intake, 2800TC, 3.42 rear ( Plan on purchasing Headers & P&P TB within the next two weeks - also including a tune ). I'm looking for low end power.

Thanks

Both the Kooks and Dynatechs are very good headers. Shop around and go with whichever one is on sale. I wouldn't pay more than $1,300 for either setup ( including x-pipe and hi-flow cats ). The tune is very important. Wait until you do the headers *and* TB before you spend some bucks on tuning.

Good luck,

Mark

For low end, you may also want to check on the Tri-Y setup that QTP just introduced.

SuperMaxx headers are made from 304 stainless steel. I *think* Kooks are also.

It seems like the Kook's might be the way for me to go. Where can I get the best price ?? I found SuperMax setup for under 1300.00 & 1599.00 total installed. Will Kook's be about the same $
