Default Corsa Crossover Pipe - Clamp or weld?

UPS just delivered my Corsa Indy Pace Car Muffler System and Crossover Pipe. Is it better to use the provided clamps for the x-over pipe or weld it?

I've installed two x-pipes on two different C5's I've owned and the clamps worked fine - no need to weld. Just use some good quality clamps and you won't have any problems.

I had the clamps on for a week and didn't like the way they looked (worked fine), so took it to the local muffler shop and they welded the Xpipe on in about 10 minutes. Guys were so enthralled at the quality of the Xpipe and Corsa exhaust we chatted for 30 minutes and they didn't charge me a dime.

I am considering purchasing the same set up. I looked under my car today and noticed that to put the X-Pipe in it looks as though you need to cut the original pipes out by the cats. Is this correct, and if so what is the easiest way to do this?

Yes, you need to cut. The best way IMO is a chaincutter. This tool can be bought in your country for about $ 15. It is one of the most effective tools I have.
