For some reason my passenger side mirror randomly chooses to point at the ground every once in a while. I belive the only time it is happening is when I hit the unlock button on the key fob...I hear it move. It used to only happen about 1/5 times but it does it almost everytime I get in here lately. Sometimes it just slighly adjusts and other times it point all the way at my back wheel. What the heck is causing this???????
I had that same problem on my 2000 a while back. Do you have a window valet? I thought that caused it for a while. I'm not sure what whas causing it, but I reset all of my memory fuctions and I think that took care of it. I don't have that problem anymore. You might even want to disconnect the battery as well. I had my car worked on and they did that a few times. No problems after that. Those are all the things I can think of that I did to make it go away. Hope this helps.
Whenever I put mine in reverse, the mirrors adjust automatically and aim at the ground. I guess so I don't eat the curb. I didn't realize this when I first got it and I've got the scars on my passenger side rims to show for it.
My drivers side mirror does this about 1 in 5 times. I have all three memory settings at the same place. Drives me nuts and if I correct it, the next time I get in the car it readjust it so I need to correct it again. I can't figure it out either.
