Just put on my CCW's (love 'em) which I bought with new pressure sensors. But every time I start the car I get the "Service tire pressure system" message. Is it possible that CCW didn't put in the new sensors, or are they just not being recognized and there's something I need to reset/program?
If you haven't retrained the sensors then you will get that message. Check the owners manual for the retraining steps. You will need a large magnet to do it.
I've got a C5 convertible with Z06 wheels from the dealer so I don't have the tire pressure sensors and I keep getting the SERV. TIRE MON. SYS message. Is there any way I can disable the tire pressure monitor completely, or at least clear the warning so I don't get that message any more?
I tried looking in my owners manual, but the only mention I can find says to "see your dealer for service...."
....nevermind, found what I needed. thanks
Turn you car on but dont start it. Clear the DIC, hit he opinion but till nothing comes up on the screan. Hold the reset button until the "training mode" appears. I think you hit the resent button again once or twice and it will chane over to tire sensor training. after that i'm not sure.

I've been reading around and it seems another possible solution to my problem would be to buy some sensors. I suppose that would probably be a good idea since I don't have a spare and Z06 tires aren't run-flat? Where's the best place (online or off) to get the sensors? I'll ask my local mechanic to install them for me...
Sensors are expensive from the dealer. Keep an eye out on the For Sale forum. Aren't the sensors supposed to be reset with a strong magnet? To disable the DIC message, you'll probably need a scanning tool. I just reinstalled my sensorless Z06 wheels. I'll hook up HPTuners sometime soon and see if I can disable that message and let y'all know.
