Default valve clearance?

Is anyone running anything like the following. I'm wondering if there will be any valve clearance problems?

Z06 heads with 11-1 CR
228/228 588/571 112 0 adv.
2.02/1.57 valves

I'm running 5.3 L heads milled .030" @ 11.3: CR, 2.02/1.58 valves, .578/.578 112 w/ 0 adv. 229/229

No clearance issues at all.

Are you getting 11:1 CR with a .060 MLS or .052 graphite head gasket? I would think at 0 advance you won't have any problems, but it would be wise to check. AFR has found up to .025" variance on the deck height of typical production LS1's. Apparently the stock spec for this is +-.0125? If you are running a graphite gasket and had a low deck you would be close, and also have a higher CR than you expect, and vice-versa for a high deck and MLS gasket. I'm doing a very similar upgrade to yours but with AFR's and similar cam. I was advised by AFR to be aware of the deck height and it could be an issue in certain cases. I have been told to always check P/V when installing a large cam. Just passing it on.

Thanks guys. Glad to be able to find similar mods. I will check PTV clearance. I don't want to buy a notching tool unless I need to. So it looks like I can hold off buying one.
I'll be using stock gaskets and having the heads milled. They are Z06 heads.

Running a near identical set up but with LS1 heads and 1:8 rockers, same valve lift. Had to grind a bit clearance at several spots in the valve covers. You will be able to tell immediately if there is a clearance problem!

I currently have the Harland Sharp roller rockers. I had to tap down the baffle on the driver side valve cover when I installed them.
My cam will be the same. The change I'm making , relating to clearance , will be to go from 10.6 CR to 11.0 CR by milling.

Patches, are you running 7.4 or 7.35 PR's. It would seem that the stock 7.4's are okay?
If they took off .030 they must have unshrouded the chambers to get down to 11.3?

I have similar heads and am moving up to a bigger cam. What are the rear wheel HP and TQ numbers with your cam? I was considering the 225/225 .589/.589 114. Thanks

FWIW. The cam your looking at will be very mild. If you put it on a 112 it would only have 1* overlap. For example a 228 will have 4* overlap and have a lope that sounds good outside the car but not very noticeable inside. Mines an A4 and is perfect for a daily driver. An M6 will still be mild.
