Hey guys thinking about taking advantage of MTI H/C special. My questions are for those of you who have the heads and cams they are installing. How do you like then? Driveabilty? Some HP #'s??? I have a 04 A4 w/ cat back and a vararam. At the time of the install I will also address the gear and converter. Thanks for your help guys.
The reason your not going to get a good answer to your question is because MTI sells all types of cams. Everything from mild to wild. Frankly, for the amount of money you end up spending on a good H/C + geer + header package I think you would be much better off with a blower ( at least for most street cars ) .

Good luck,

I agree mark but MTI is running a special right now and i cant get a blower installed and tuned for 5500.00. I know they have many cams and i want to know about all of them so i can make my own choice. Im not going to go too wild but i do want some thumpty thumpty
I have been driving around with my MTI H/C setup For 4yrs now and I love it. I just drove from Texas to Alabama which is 647 miles one way from my home and raced in a all Corvette Race" won my Division with 3.90 gears in the rear. They do great work and take good care of your car when it's being worked on. The cam I have is one of ther older cams that they don't sell any more. They replaced it with the C2 " I have the B1. A good combo for gear & conv change is the Yank 3600SS and 3.42's . The 1/4mile times in my sig was done using the Yank SY4000 & 3.42's. They will be swapping my cam for one that is a bit more wild soon.

I got a mild combo. Stealth cam + unported LS6 heads. I made 403RWHP on this combo with Long tube headers and Z06 Ti Exhaust and an A4 Automatic. I have run 11.30's with kuhmos and a SY 3600 converter. I have idle issues though but both myself and MTI believe the cam may have been ground wrong and even after having the cam installed for a few months ... the will send me a new cam no questions asked! Their shop and service after the sale is great! I would certainly recommend them. I will be headed to them for my new transmission!
I had their H/C setup on my stock block (C1 cam, stage 2R LS1 heads, TPIS headers, RT cats, ported TB, Oil pump) along with my B&B PRT's and vortex rammer. It made 418 rwhp, was nice to drive, very streetable, and truthfully about all the power you can put to the ground without other serious mods (I know, I didn't follow this guide and went a little overboard!). In any event, MTI are great to deal with, great people, great service, and Dr. J is a world class tuner. S/C cars make great power, but H/C is there all the time with no additional moving parts or maintenance. Everyone has their opinion (thus the forum), but N/A cars are great daily drivers or play cars if you go a bit overboard like me. I will tell you, all that new power will mean other upgrades, especially if you use it regularly! Best of luck.
