Is any one else having this problem. engine is running about 220, oil is 232 and the tranny temp is 230. all this started with the install of the tiger shark kit. I have an a4 with sy3500,tranny cooler, procharger sic, 3.73 gears.

Thats surprising...the TS front end has a bigger opening than the stock unit. Did you replace your front air dam?

Take and air hose and blow all the crap, road clag, sand and any other stuff that may be up in the radiator fins.

If you can get an air hose with a 2 foot wand that is thin would be ideal. Get right up there from under neath and try to sweeze that wand between the radiator cowling on top to blow any sand and road clagg out.

We just had a thread over in Autocross and Roadracing about Radiator Toe Jam. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=876753

Lots of stuff gets up there that a screen will not keep out. The only way to clean it is to blow it out.

If the stock air dam is gone you will run hotter. I suggest the Big Mouth air dam in its place.

Check to see if your center section air dam was put on backwards... if it is, then turn it around and re-install...

You can pick up the Big Mouth Air Dam at C4orceCorvette.com

Here is a picture of the set up with frame savers ( excellent install by Tom )

The Big Mouth seals the lower area to keep road trash and water out and increases CFM to boot !

the Big mouth looks great, but you may wish to blow out the radiiator first to get the sand, dirt and anything else that may be up there. Even with the "big mouth" sand and dirt can still get in those radiator fins.

Give it a try, it costs nothing but a little time.

We have noticed that after ppl do this the temps do drop dramitly, so it has become part of the normal oporating proceduere to get the car ready for the track.

Good Luck.

I think I might purchase this big mouth setup, I first have to look under my car to make sure that nothing from the S/C system is in the way. Does anyone have more pics from underneath the car on a C5?

great, looking forward to getting the product. I think I will have to make a modification to the unit as the cross member of the skid plates has been moved 5" forward... which would put me right in the middle of the air scoop. I hope it works out.
