Default new owner needs help/info

04 vert w/ mn6 - built 12/03 - 830 miles - use chervon 91 or unocal 100

Mods to date in order: slotted cold air inserts, z06 air box lid, K&N replacement filter, high flow air bridge & sleeve, msd wires, ngk tr55 plugs, 180 stat, magnaflow x-pipe, b&b bullett exhaust, diablo sport predator.

Loaded tune and car was put in reduced power mode - would just die if clutch let out all the way - after three try's and many error msg on programmer screen factory program was reloaded. contacted diablo, they said i needed version 1.13 to work with my car; still waiting for replacement box to show up.

My problem is the car is very hard to start and has made rattel/knocking sounds at start up, seems to idle fine and low speed ok. Rather leary of using it, i think the factory program was corrupted somehow.

How can i get the factory tune back, beside going to the dealer & will they be able to tell it's been played with. Just got the recall notice for steering lock & understand they reflash pcm, concerned their equipment will record the tampering and create a problem if some sort of damage was caused by the box.

It sounds like maybe too much timing at idle and reflash ould help out greatly, don't worry about it the techs at the dealership will flash a new tune and not know anything

have you tried putting the predator back on and reload stock tuning?? I may be wrong but doesn't it work like the Hypertech...store your stock program and upload the Predator program?? If so you should be able to go back to stock

Take it back to the dealer and just tell them that it just started running like crap! They will just flash in a new program for you! Just plead ignorant! "Who,,,,, me,,, mess with the computer,,,,,,,,NO way,, I would NEVER do that!

You could disconnect the battery and erase the memory and see if that helps!

Give that a shot!

Let us know how you make out!!

Check to see you the K&N filter didn't get oil on the mass-air-flow sensor. This will give you big problems. To much oil on filter.
