Default Ok to remove scrape guard?

My car has been lowered and i scrape wherever i drive. When i have a passenger, i sometimes even scrape on the irregularities in the road. I have andy's frame savers and the roller rockers installed on the car now. Would it be ok to remove the scrape guard? I"m not sure if it has a purpose other than to act as a warning.

Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the black spring loaded plastic piece under the nose, I would not remove it. It does force some air up and into the radiator. You might have cooling problems with it removed.

Removing it is NOT a good idea for cooling. It does send some air up to the radiator. Most people in your boat cut it. Remove it, take an inch or so off the bottom and put it back.

I would not remove. Why don't you look at triming off one half inch from the lower portion. Maybe start with a half inch for awhile and then remove another half if you need to. Good Luck

I agree with the folks above. Do not remove it. At the most, trim it. I understand that you can replace that piece for under $100, so it's not a big deal to be scraping it, even if you are scraping it all of the time.

Dont remove it completely. I know it sounds horrible when it scrapes, but it def. has an effect on cooling.

Scrape guard? Are you talking about the plastic air dam? Or the Skid Plates?
