I had my supermaxx header system, high flow cats and x-pipe installed yesterday. I drove the vette and had no problems, got into it after it cooled off and the check engine light came on. Cleared the codes, drove her this morning and got the code P1153 which is HO2s insuffeicient switch bank but this only happens after I have been driving for a little while. What in the world is causing this? I could understand if this happened when I started the car ? Has anyone had this problem? Thanks
maybe your 02 sensors are going out due to all the extra heat....the last thing i need on my exhaustsystem is headers so haha i better pay attention to this thread....good luck....
i have slp headers + hiflo cats.i get that code on a regular basis.i've changed the sensor 3 times and still get it .when i had the car on the dyno they told me it was running on open loop mode because of the sensor. they put a new one in and it ran normal on the dyno/afr logging. on my drive home, after 1000 miles it coded again .when i looked at the sensor ,p1153 passenger side in front of the cats, it looked carboned up.i think maybe the headers are not heating the air past the sensors enough and so the computer runs rich? anyhow ,i am waiting for slp to reply to my email so that this problem can be fixed. in the meantime i delete the code each time with my predator.just talked to slp and they said because the o2 sensors are repositioned on the header install, sometimes it will throw that code .his advice was to have it edited out of the pcm by a tuner or slp,for a fee.? it doesn't make sense to me as the front 02 sensors must be doing something to regulate proper fuel mixtures.i will phone some vette tuners to verify this info.

I have the same exact problem with my LG headers. I have just about given up trying to remedy. Hopefully you will have better luck. I believe the sensor positioning on the headers are too far down for the sensor to sufficiently heat up thereby throwing the code.
