Default HELP with installing Blackwing

Lets start off by saying I am not the most mechanically minded person in the world. When a friend and I went to install the Blackwing (that I bought from a forum member and it seems in excellent shape even had original box and decals, cleaner and oil)on my 99 I dont see how the blackwing will connect to my bridge. Is there supposed to be a rubber gasket included or do I use the one on the stock airbox? I didn't want to get to the point of no return so I just put back on the stock. Also does the 90 degree pvc come off my original air box as well? So my question is I only received the filter is that all I really need for a 99 I have the all the original paperwork and it was purchased from SLP so I can call them this week if all else fails. any help is greatly appreciated/

you are correct on both questions you asked. you use the rubber gromets from the stock filter aswell as the 90 degree pvc. check out this link i know its for a 2001 but i believe the only diff. is the coupler that is used anyways should point u in the right direction.https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=76&TopicID=1

You should not need an adaptor for your year car to mate the blackwing to your T/B. Use your old accordian rubber. As for the elbow, YES-use it on the BW. Don't sweat it if the blackwing is tight on the coupler. Use some elbow grease and a lite dab of oil, saliva, or whatever. It will go on.

WD-40 works quite well as a lube for this install. The warm weather one would presumably have in August should also help in making the rubber parts more flexible.
