I purchased my 98 Arctic White M6 Coupe about 9 months ago. 45k miles in excellent condition already with some nice mods (Mongoose 400
Performance Package, B & B exhaust, Ripper Shifter). Fastest/ best handling car I have ever owned. Hard to keep my foot out of it when the ricers and mustangs want to play! Only had 2 problems so far.
One was the Column Lock. It locked/ bought CLB/ fixed it. Last week,
looked and saw my tach had started "fluttering." Drove next day, worked perfectly. Drove to office yesterday, did not work at all and has not worked today. Checked all fuses; look O.K. Checked codes for tach
signal circuit fault; none found. Hoping just a loose wire/ connection
in dash behind tach. Any suggestions on what else to check for or thread for removal of dash to access gauges?
Check continuity from the PCM to the white wire under the dash. I know it is the #10 Pin on the PCM, but the wire under the dash could be one of three. Make sure that it is not broken from installing a shift light or window switch or something else that runs off it it.
Someone on here always posts pictures of the white wire under the dash and can give you a pretty good idea of the location.
