Default suspention limits

I have an 04 with Z51 suspention. I was having exhaust installed and noticed there are no, suspention limiters. most cars have rubber bushings as limiters. When you lower the car you do feel a bounce from limit on bumps. What is causing that? Is it built into the shock ends?

The suspension limiters are built into the shocks. Each shock has a big 3+" rubber stopper that sits between the shock body and the upper shock mounting washer, and are hidden behind the shocks dust cover.

Bilstein shocks are a little shorter, but not much. Depending on what you are trying to do you may want to get some adjustable shocks.
