Default Gauge Questions - Experienced Help Needed

Just purchased my Auto Meter dual pod A-pillar overlay...now I have a few questions:

1) Other than my AEM UEGO WBO2, what other gauge should I place in the 2nd pod? (let's assume I don't plan on getting N2O or forced induction)

2) To best match my AEM WBO2 with black face and black bezel, what gauge brand/style would be the best match? I'd like something with black face, black bezel and white backlit text/numbers. (please don't recommend the autometer cobalts...FAR too blue) Here is a shot of the AEM UEGO display:

3) For those of you with gauges, have you managed to get them to dim with the dash lights? If so, how did you do it?

TIA

Brody,

I have Autometer CF guages in mine. They don't dim and infact they only light up when the fog lights are on. so I'm not much help.

You could get a fuel pressure guage, or just put a compass in there J/K.

Hope all is well.

Take care,

J

I hooked my light power to the light power at the AC control head and they dim, if I remember correctly it was a yellow wire.

That gauge looks great where did you get it?

Hey bro! Good to hear from ya!

I was leaning toward fuel pressure as well, or a clock. I believe All Cammed Up put a shift light in there somehow.

That gauge is the AEM UEGO wideband unit. It's pretty cool IMHO. I haven't actually picked it up yet, but will soon. I like that it has both digital and led displays in one unit, costs $440, looks clean (no silver bezel), logs, has 0-1 or 0-5V output, and the controller is actually integrated into the gauge for an easy install.

What gauges are you using, runamuk? Any recommenfdations on a fuel press gauge that would match the AEM WBO2?

After reading these, I want to emphasize that I DO NOT recommend this wideband AF meter.
