Default Advice-Exhaust Install

I'm changing my stock exhaust on my 02 Coupe to a stock ZO6 Ti. Can this be done on ramps without to much difficulty or does the car need to be higher? Also, are there any gskts that I need to get or new bolts?

I don't think ramps are going to be high enough. I tried changing mine using a jack and stands. Couldn't get the car high enough to take off the passenger side, even with wood blocks on the jack I ended up cutting the passenger exhaust to get it off. I put on aftermarket pipes that came in 2 pieces so the height wasn't an issue.

I would recommend finding a lift and changing out the gasket where the catbacks bolt on to the rest of the exhaust.

Amen!

Also, when you do it, unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the rear sway bar to the rear end assy. and let it hang from its ends. It will make things so much easier. Also, the left side pipe slips right in, the right side usually needs some (firm) persuasion.

You'll, also, have to raise the back of the car 36" high to get clearance for installation, because you don't want to cut the Z06 Ti pipes.. So, if that's a concern, a muffler shop is the best bet.

I paid $55.00 at MIDAS to get mine changed. IMO well spent $$'s.
