Default [CLB Question] Temp sensor...

I finally got around to installing my CLB. I have looked, and looked again and I do not see a wired sensor going to the intake sensor. I do have electronic climate control, so I should have this connector...shouldn't I?

Is it possible in 1999 the sensor was located else where? I did have the big plastic vent plug that pops out, and on that plug you could see where something could snap into it, but whatever it is, I don't have it.

In the past, my car had a column lock repair when the previous owner had it. Maybe something happened then?

Can someone please tell me where the wire comes from, and if the 99 even has it.

Thanks!

ttt

With 50% of the forum members having installed the CLB, there has to be someone here with a 99 and Electronic Climate Control!

It was there on my 98, also equiped with dual-zone climate control.

Does your climate control work OK?

I *think* it does. No codes or anything. I'm going back out there and pulling the kick panel off again and look one more time.

Thanks!

Found it!! It was tucked under the radio. It is intact. It looks like the dealer the previous owner used when the column locked just tie-wrapped it to the metal bracket next to the radio, instead of taking the time to reinsert it into the plastic sensor tube thingy.

If anybody has had a column lock repair done, I recommend that they check to make sure the sensor is still there! It would surprise me if this is common practice!

Thanks SDVette for your reply. It made me want to go back out and look a little more thoroughly.

Maybe now my air will be a little more accurate!!
