I just put the Halltech Stinger intake in and ever since I have been getting service engine soon codes. It ran fine for the first few miles and then the message came on. I turned the power off and re-started and was fine for a few days. Today on my way home from work it happened over and over again with all sorts of messages: Check tire pressure, active handling system, etc..
Not sure if it has to do with the intake or not. Any ideas?? Help!!
It sounds like it could be one of two things, well - maybe three.
First, check all electrical connections under the hood (that you can see) and especially the MAF connection.
Second, check all couplings from the filter to the throttle body, especially the smooth coupler to the throttlebody seal.
Third, you may have drained your battery if any of your car lights remained on for long periods of time. When I was documenting my cold air mod, I had to disconnect the negative battery cable because I kept bumping into the hood, which caused the sleeping hood light to pop back on. If your battery is weak for whatever reason, you could get crazy code pop-ups on the D.I.C.
