Default What else should I replace when doing H/C?

I am oreding some AFR's next week and I am goig to put in a comp 224/228.

I am also going to do tuning, plugs, wires, and timing chain.

What else should I do while I have it torn apart (I am keeping my LS6 intake)?

Thanks,
Mike

Apparently, you're willing to spend some more money...get the underdrive pulley set. It'll be easy enough with the old one off anyway.

I did everything suggested plus a semi HD 1-3/8" radiator and a tranny cooler. All work done by the Home Town Heros at A&A Corvette. You're going to love the results. Best,

You might need larger injectors.

Your profile doesn't list your car set up, but if you have an A4 get a higher stall Torque Converter & think about Dif. Gears as well. Also, not sure what your pkg. includes but you might also check into roller lifters & Titanium retainers. Lots of threads on springs right now, you might want to view and select spring to fit your needs.
BTW, your going to love the new found power!

Thanks for the info.

I should have also posted that my car is an 01' Z and I have Lg's.

Do I need to upgrade the pushrods?

What is an underdirive pulley going to cost me (and where should I buy it) and what kind of gains will I see.

Why does the oil pump need to be changed? Is this due to wear or should I be upgrading my pump?

I don't want to get too far down the "might as well" road.

Last time I did a heads cam swap, it turned into a $10,000 head, cams, supercharger, converter, tranny, and gears swap.

I am sticking with the 224/228 as I am hoping that I will be able to sneak the cam by at the track and compete in the new class that lets me run 11.50's wihout a cage.

If you are even thinking that you might do a S/C setup later, then pin the crank pulley when you change the cam.

Lower temp thermostat and oil pump.
