For an A4 car driven mostly on the street are these upgrades that would be felt in the seat of the pants? I currently have the TPIS Long Tube headers and am wondering if the Kooks are a good investment? The Kooks come with cats and an x-pipe. Also I have the 3.42's and want more seat of the pants acceleration and was advised to go with 3.90's. I will also be adding a hardened drive shaft. Anyone who has done this please chime in, thanks.

I recently installed the 3:90 along with LGM long tube headers and the SOTP performance was great. I would install the gears and drive the car before adding new headers. The headers make great sound at WOT.
The TPIS started leaking on top and the only way to fix it right is to pull the engine. I figured why do that when I could just install a new set of Kooks. I was told that the Kooks come with cats built in and run directly into the Corsa Indy's. Hopefully I made the right choice swapping. Of course an engine tune is also done once this is finished. I was also debating whether or not to change the Z06 intake for a FAST one & the TB to a 90mm TB but then with all of that I could have just installed a supercharger. I hope that the Kooks are the best header on the market now for the C5. I think that I'll have to make do with the Kooks & 3.90's for now.
if you can swing it, id get a vararam, headers and 4.10s in an mn6 car and sticky tires (if you drag race) That gained me a second in the 1/4 and 4mph. And the car sounds and feels so much more responsive in any gear.
Pewtavert, Trust me you made a great choice going with Kook's. Just ask the hundreds of forum members who haven't stopped smiling since they put them on. Shortly, you'll be in that very same happy group of folks. Nick "Kook's Headers"

Thanks I'm very excited. Is it a big difference over the TPIS? The Kooks come with its own X-pipe & cats. I was running stock cats into a Corsa X-pipe & Indy exhaust system. Coupled with the 3.90's the car should pull very well.
The LG's are not an option as the Kooks are going on. Also the 3.90's are coming in Friday. Also PDD000 I noticed that you have the 3.90's on an M6, my car is an A4 and I wonder what cruising at 70MPH will produce on the tach?
If you want to save some $$$ I have the hi flow cats with the xpipe that will bolt on to your Kooks and your cat back exhaust. I want to abandon the cats, maybe you could get you set up without the cats and we'll work a deal to get you my cats. These are the same cats/xpipe that come from kooks, I ordered the whole set together. I have about 600 miles on them.

Thanks but Vette Doctors have the Kooks already in stock. I like the idea of the system being one unit up until the mufflers where they will bolt directly into the Corsas. I already have a Corsa X-pipe hooked up to the TPIS headers which I am removing.
