When I'm driving below 25-30 mph with my windows open, there's this squeeky niose that comes from the front right wheel area. If i put my foot on the brake (very slight pressure that the car barely slows down) the squeeking stops. Any ideas of what it could be or what can I do, before I have it looked at.
I have the same squeeky wheel on my front left. Anyone have any ideas?
It, usually, indicates that the slide pins the caliper is mounted on aren't "sliding". The barkes pads aren't pushing away from the caliper far enough and the pads are making light contact. When you step on the brake you quell the vibration that causes the noise.
Pull the calipers and grease the slide pins with some synthetic caliper grease.
