I've got a problem - I cracked my rotors on Thursday night at Hockenheim and am trying to change them out. They've only been on the car for about 3 months and 6K miles so they shouldn't be rusted on, but they aren't moving. I tried WD40 and beating them with a rubber mallet, then I got a couple of C-clamps and a 2x4 and tried to pull them out, and nothing.
I've spent all afternoon working on 1 rotor. What else is there to try, I'm out of ideas
It's the Front one, and yes the brackets are off, aftermarket rotors, They are zinc coated and the hat is powdercoated black if that matter?
Obvious first. The reataining clips are off of the lugs?
After that you just have to beat on it. There should be nothing else holding the rotors on other than corrosion. Try rotating the rotor about 30 degrees every time you hit it.
Piece of wood, a really big hammer and a small rotation after every blow. Add anger!
Had this problem a week or 2 ago with customers car. Take a piece of 1"x3" wood. Turn wheels so front of rotors are pointed out and away from car. Wedge wood between rotor and Hub Strike end of wood with mallet to wedge rotor off. Rotate occasionally to get even relief of rotor. This is how we got them off. You will not hurt the rotors but then you already cracked them. Good Luck Mark

Haven't ever had mine stick on, but they don't normally stay on the car very long either.
