In a few hours my 2001 MN6 is going to the dealer for a service. I have had some problems with the battery and want it changed.
Does anyone know if it is possible to swap a side post battery for a top post one without mucking about with the wiring? I have read several posts on the forum that say that the side post batteries are a bad idea because of potential leakage problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a bit urgent because I've left it so late and the dealer is an hour and a half drive away so I don't want to get into going to and frow.
As you were told previously, install an Optima Red Top battery and you'll have no worries. It is a gel type battery as opposed to a liquid acid type that can leak. They are availible at Sears, Costco, Pep Boys, etc. There have been many threads on the subject.
