I recently posted a question regarding interior noises....Tires, road noise etc.....Thanks to all who responded. I received excellent feedback. The most suprising but most logical answer I saw involved insulating the rear compartment and interior with the Frost King foam. This make perfect sense to me, but I find it shocking that it needs to be done to a car as high tech and advanced as the C5. I am a little concerned about tearing up a perfectly good interior. DO THE SEATS AND PLASTIC TRIM PIECES REMOVE AND REINSTALL EASILY (JUST SNAP IN AND OUT) .....EVEN AFTER INSTALLING 1/8 FROST KING FOAM?. How often do C5 owners do this? I find the noise a bit annoying....I wonder why I don't see or here more about the noise problem or the solution.??

I insulated my coupe's entire interior in one day using some of Evil-Twin's recommendations except I haven't gotten to pulling the rear wheels and insulating the wheel wells from the outside yet. I plan on doing that soon though because Evil-Twin has verified it reduced road/tire noise quite effectively. The heat and noise reduction from the insulation I installed are substantial. I used Frost King for the areas not affected by heat and the Reflectix double-sided insulation on the center tunnel and the rear storage compartments.
Don't worry about pulling the interior out - it's simple and quick, actually the easiest part of the job. As far as a compartment divider, the only ones I've seen are the ones for the FRC's and the verts. The difficulty in designing one for the coupe is securing it in place and sealing out the noise without obstructing the rear view. Please post a link to the coupe divider you found.
Btw, I want to thank Bill, Evil-Twin , for his extensive research on improving the sound and heat insulation in the C5.
