Default ***Door Lock Problem?***

Does anyone have any idea why my driver door unlocks as I come within range of it, even though the remotes are in great condition, the tire sensors are fine and passive is always off on the FOBs?

If anyone can offer some advice/insight, it would be greatly appreciated, and needed.

John

Well its either you or the remote, the receiver is either getting a signal from your or the remote.. are you sure no one placed a tranmitter in your azz? Here is what I suggest...
Remove the remotes from your body, and slowly creep up on the car. Azz first would even be better.. If the car door opens, I would check body cavities..
If the door doesnt open using this method, that would eliminate You as the transmitter.,.
Next , put the fob in any convienient body cavity and slowly creep up on the car, if the door opens, I would be pretty sure its your fob...
This is a scientific test proceedure.,.. not to be confused with anything kinky..or perverted...
Just in case you dont know the difference between kinky and perverted...
Kinky is when you use a feather..
Perverted is when you use te whole Chicken.

Seriously your fob has lost its passive Off function.. '

I offered serious assistance.. your fobs are not turning off... the only signal your receiver can get is from a passive key fob... believe me it isnt you ... you said when you approach the car the door unlocks..
But id you want to get ugly believe me so can I...
What azzhole would think that their mire approach would remotely unlock the door... you would have to be a real azz to think so.. so it has to be the fob giving off the unlock code that a passive system delivers.. remove the battery and see if the door still unlocks when you approach .. do you actually think your body can give off a frequency unlock code all by itself.. Your a freekin Idiot...and what do tire sensors and their frequency have to do with a passive door lock unlock problem.
your fobs are the only thing that can do it.. and Like I said in the serious mode of my first post... your passive off switch is not working..your fobs are remaining active.. And thanks for the Thank you
I noticed so many other people came to your aid.

I should have realized that there might be someone with lesser intellect out there who actually would not comprehend what was being asked.

I thought that what I was describing was pretty evident: As I approach my car, WITH A REMOTE in hand, and for that matter, each of the four that I have, this occurs.

In addition, from what I understand, the tire sensors and the FOB's work off a similar circuit as well.

Please don't speak for others either, as your immature reply wasn't that helpful anyway.

Now, if you've you've something productive to post, then allow your "non-eviltwin" to do so, otherwise refrain from the ignorance and sarcasm dude.

John,

It really does sound as though the passive switch is not fully in the off position or that the switch mechanism has failed but it seems unlikely that all of your fobs would be experiencing the same fault. I could only suggest test each fob one-at-a-time after throwing the switch hard/fully into the leftmost position. If the fob still talks to the car, the switch contacts must be stuck/dirty/buggered or some combination thereof.

Four(4) fobs, can four be trained?

I didn't know you could train that many but than again I don't have that many. This happend to me once. Try taking the battery or in your case the batteries out of the fobs and disconnect the battery from the car so that the computer will reset. Than relearn the fobs. It worked for me so maybe it will work for you. In my case I had decided to use the passive system (which is something I don’t do a lot) and the computer stored it and would not turn them off. I first took out the batteries on the fobs and it did not help. So that is when I disconnected the battery. But I would disconnect both batteries just to leave nothing to chance.

Here's the fix for you. Slide the passive switch to "on", walk near the car, the doors will un-lock, walk away and you should hear the doors "lock". Stay out of rane and slide the switch back to "off", walk over to the car, the doors should not un-lock. Problem solved.
