Default Which brake pads?

Which pads would you use? I'm putting on Sportbrakes drilled and sloted rotors . My vette is a daily driver (sunny days only) and i do not race. I live at the top of a steep canyon so I have about 5 miles of steep and winding road which i drive agressively. I'm considering Hawk HPS, Ceramic pads and stock pads. Any input would be greatly appreciated. TIA

When I install the drilled and slotted rotors I'am going with ceramics to cut down on brake dust!

Some claim that ceramic pads don't stop as well. I can't see the difference.

Be careful of the ceramic if you have a lot of heat by the time you finish your agressive drive. Ceramic are a little short on initial bite but the real problem is if they get past their design heat limit. They "go away" fairly fast.
Stock work quite well.
I'm not a big fan of Hawk Hps as, for me, they aren't very rotor friendly.
Another pad you might want to consider is the EBC Green pad. Great initial bite and an extended temperature range. Some people even use them for moderate track days. You can read about them at: www.tirerack.com

Thanks for the responses. I'm also a bit leery of the Ceramic pads due to the brake fade I've heard about - might not work too well on long winding downhills. I hadn't heard about the EBC Green pads but they sound like an interesting option - anyone else have experience with them?

HPS not unless you want to wash brake dust off your car after every day you drive it. I used HPS pads one weekend at a DE school and after the second day, my the sides of my yellow car looked like

Ceramics are good but not for agressive stopping power. Ceramic pads take a bit longer to stop your car but donw dust.

Stock Z06 pads, or PFC-Z pads from autozone.

I had the ceramics. My experience with them was less dust, but increased pedal effort to stop. I was not happy with them. I now have the z04 pads and enjoy them much better even though my wheels are dirtier.
