Default stinger or trap

stinger or trap which on emakes more power and how much i know that the trap should but is it worth the extra money? will I gain more out of the stinger than I would if I did the blackwing and the air bridge? thanks guys I would like to see some dyno numbers.

I had the TRAP on the car for a year and was very pleased, then I pulled the filter off to see how dirty it was getting sitting up front like that and put it back together as a Stinger(lower tunnel removed) just for the hell of it to see how that setup worked, and it's still a Stinger. The car seems to pull harder and rev up faster. I don't know if there's less air tubulence in the tunnel or what, but SOP tells me go for Stinger and save the extra coin.

I had the opposite experience - I had the blackwing and air bridge (essentially the same as the Stinger) and switched to the TRAP. The car runs noticeably better with the TRAP, smoother and stronger.

If you go with either, you may have to have another LS1-edit tune. Many Zs throw lean codes after the installation of an aftermarket intake. (possibly due to their lack of MAF screen)

I would think that the position of the Warhead in the Stinger setup is better aligned with the cold air coming in through your facia openings. The TRAP is perfect for use with the Tunnel Ram mod. where you cut an opening behind the license plate cover, but if you want to retain your C5s front end appearance, the Stinger is hard to beat.

OOBlkFrc: Trap gets cooler air becuase its further and lower from the engine bay. If you fogs are cutout there is lots of air for the WarHead to suck.

grsZ06: One of the advantages of the TRAP is that it straightens out (less turbulence) air flow as compared to Stinger or Blackwing

Evil: Proper installation = Proper fit!

Dave: The Stinger is easer to clean....but you already know that!!
