Car drives perfect, no issues at all. One glitch is when you go to backup, you have to hold it in gear with one finger or it jumps out. Do you have any ideas other than to pull the trans? I already checked the shift boot, no problem. thanks.

Very common problem. 99 % of the time I need to double-clutch
to reverse. Or, you can try touching another gear first before you slip
it into reverse. It should stay in then without you holding it.
If not, before I spent any real heavy bucks, I'd fiddle with the
linkage in the chassis tunnel first. Likely something simple.
I had the same condition. Unfortunately all of the preceeding attempts failed to correct the problem. The transmission had to come out and the reverse gears replaced.
The reverse gear set on the C5 is VERY small. It behooves the driver to be VERY gentle when putting the car into reverse since the gears (about a half inch wide) will not take many "rackings" and still keep the square cut required to stay in gear. Hope one of the cheap fixes works for you.
