Default Climate control upgrade

Has anybody upgraded from the manual climate control unit to the automatic unit? I like having the outside temperature information - maybe I could get a display with the outside temp and leave the climate control alone. Any thoughts?

Not possible, The actuators for directing air in the system are not the same. Many have looked into this and no one has found an economical way.

Cool - I had one of those on my Subaru - do you have a source for such a wonderful item?

I have found that the Gentex mirrors are awesome. Its a dual line Temp/Compass displayed at same time. It is also a auto-dimming mirror and is available with LED maplights (which in our case we would need).
To find this item type in Gentex mirror on ebay. The ones im talking about with the maplights and dual line temp/compass usually go for low to mid $100's (if I remember correctly). Hope this helps. I have been considering getting one.

Gentex website shows all the versions of mirrors available, and points you to Mito Corp to buy them.

http://www.mitocorp.com/

Keep in mind that you need to be careful about the wiring connections/harness compatibility with the C5. They should be able to help.

Thanks for the links - the second site gives all the mounting and wiring instructions right in their site - very handy indeed. I'll have to order one of these kits up!!
