You will fail EPA readiness status if that matters to you even if you try to turn off the codes. What's the smog laws like in NM? I assume they do OBDII? :

I have HPTuners, so if I can disable the codes, I'm thinking I'll still pass the OBDII test here. Good thinking though. I know I'd get codes without the tuner program! As long as removing that thing isn't too hard, I can always reinstall the system right before the smog test. I know it may only be 8 pounds, but it's right at the front of the car, and that's where I'd like to cut weight.

A/C isn't getting removed as the car is a daily driver. Do you know where I could find a set of those exhaust block off plates?

why cant you remove history codes? The airpump is all but hidden unless you have a flashlight and a lift. I know quite a few people w/o emissions stuff that have passed using ls1 edit.

Block off the Air tubes to the headers - you can get gaskets and plates here-> http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?P...D&ProdID=24672 .
I did it and I have zero history or codes.
